And yes i still get the freezing during playing & making styles,and you CANNOT just keep playing as spoken of here.I repeat nothing is functional,unless you restart machine. When making style si'm always saving little sections now& have not lost anything in years now. Wayne a part-time user from canada writes: I previously wrote the first reply when i had OS version 2.1, now many moons later i'm at yamaha's final ver 3.6.this is the only machine i am satified with.i think it beats everything in the looks department including the tyros for the reason i cannot stand all the lite buttons when it's on, i find it very distracting when making music in my nice dark room at night.
I have even modified my psr9000 so it's screen can be covered by a nice velvet covering so it darn near looks like it's off,i know some of us are a little strange,but some tranceians are just that way.
I have made a few styles for PSR9000 and would like to share them with other Yamaha keyboard players. These have been made with Band-in-a-box and a free program called Stylemaker written by Michael Bedesem. The styles will play on most PSR keyboards, Clavinova and Tyros, but for best effect, they may need to be adjusted for different models.
Fortunately there is another free program by Michael Bedesem called Midiplayer which you can use to achieve this. Details of where to download Stylemaker and Midiplayer are on the links page. The styles are also available for download with XG voices as this provides the greatest compatability with all Yamaha keyboards I am hoping to add more styles over the next few weeks so please check back from time to time.
