Uninstall all Ghost Devices ( Only Uninstall the Grayed out ones.).If you have a 32 bit Server then Download & Install Latest Tape Drivers if Required Only (Mostly Recommended). Follow article 287850 (linked below) to Download Latest Symantec Drivers Select 1st Option and Last Two Options when Installing the Drivers and then Reboot the Server. If you have a 64 bit Server then check and install the Latest Drivers from Hardware Vendor if required and then Reboot the Server. After Reboot Confirm all the Ghost devices have been Uninstalled. Again Follow article 259595 to Confirm. If you still see ghost devices follow above procedure again till they do not exists anymore.

Follow the above Procedure on all other Windows Servers if Required. Confirm you can see the Correct number of Devices from Device Manager & scan command on all Servers. Confirm that the Removable Storage Manager service is disabled.

Confirm all Netbackup Services are Up and Running on all Servers if any. From Master Server Confirm you can Communicate with all other Servers if any. Open Netbackup GUI on the Master Server.

Delete all existing Drives and Robots for all Suspected Servers. If you have any Issues Deleting Devices follow article 284755 (linked below) Rerun Device Discovery Wizard.
